Even though we are all about women, we support the Springboks in the upcoming 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The first game is against Scotland, with Siya Kolisi, Springbok captain, saying he considers it a “playoff-like game”.
The Springboks are in a tough pool with Ireland and Scotland and Kolisi sees it as an opportunity to face top teams. He acknowledges the pressure but views it as a privilege to represent South Africa. Coach Jacques Nienaber also expects a highly competitive tournament and believes something special will be needed to defend their title. Both Kolisi and Nienaber highlight the unique energy and excitement of playing in a World Cup.
